HOW OYO ROOM WAS STARTED – HISTORY
In 2012 Ritesh Aggarwal was traveling in the whole of India at that time he saw that he was unable to find rooms with affordable price and good condition if the price of the room is low then the facility and condition of the room is terrible at that time the idea of starting Oyo rooms came into his mind.
In 2012, Ritesh was Firstly Started Oravel Stays in Gurgaon that’s allows listing and booking of budget rooms; he renamed the Oravel Stays to OYO in 2013.
OYO is associated with Some hotels to give similar guest experiences around the cities. Soon after Starting Oravel Stays, Ritesh Agarwal received funding of $100,000 from Peter Thiel as part of the Thiel fellowship. OYO currently has to work with 17,000+ employees worldwide, of which approximately 8000+ are Indian and South Asian. it has also established 26 training institutes for hospitality enthusiasts all over India.
